CO-WORKING OFFICE DESIGN
Commercial Design-Edgeworth Building
In this project, I was given an existing building on Tobacco Row in downtown Richmond, VA. The building is rich in history and currently contains many vacant spaces available for commercial businesses. I was given one of the largest tenant spaces in the building to create a space large enough to contain two separate businesses. I focused on the idea of co-working in the space so that the two businesses could work together and collaborate if need be. I chose to create an event planning space and a Travel agency. Both spaces work well together and can benefit from each others clientele. The design of the space is specific enough for the businesses themselves, but versatile enough to be changed quickly in the future if need be.
